2016 Love-A-Thon: Questionnaire

The Love-a-Thon is an event dedicated to spreading positivity and love. 1. What’s your name? Ali
2. Where in the world are you blogging from? USA
3. How did you get into blogging in the first place? I followed a bunch of publishers’ Twitters on my personal account and I saw a few bloggers’ accounts, so I decided I wanted to join them!
4. How did you come up with your blog name? I love Arctic Monkeys, so that’s where the first part of Arctic Books comes from. And the second half is quite self-explanatory.
5. What genre do you read and review the most on your blog? Possibly YA fantasy. It’s one of my favorite genres, but I definitely want to review more diverse genres.
6. What other types of posts do you do on your blog, apart from reviews? I write discussion posts, book hauls, recommendations, to-do’s, and blog tours!
7. Best blogging experience so far? When I got my first ARC from The Novl! I was really proud because it meant that I was working hard and putting out good content.
8. Favorite thing about the blogging community? The friendliness! It was so easy for me to talk to other bloggers.
9. Name the 5 books you’re most excited for this 2016! All of them. But if I have to choose, probably A Torch Against the Night, Ivory and Bone, The Way I Used to Be, And I Darken, and Furthermore.
10. Name the 5 books you want to read this 2016 that you didn’t get to in previous years! So many! The Wrath and the Dawn, Illuminae, The Orphan Queen (and TMK), End of Days, and Throne of Glass.
11. What’s an underrated book or series that you think everyone should read? I’ll Give You the Sun or We Are the Ants.
12. Which book boy or girl would be your book BFF? Kenji from Shatter Me
13. Which book boy or girl would be your book boyfriend/girlfriend? Warner from Shatter Me
14. Who would you recruit for your apocalypse squad (5 characters max). Juliette from Shatter Me, Deuce from Enclave, Katniss from The Hunger Games, Harry from Harry Potter, Hermione from Harry Potter.
15. Apart from reading, what are your other hobbies or interests? I like to sketch, play violin, and study chemistry.
16. Apart from book shopping, what else do you like shopping for? Clothes and office supplies.
17. At a party, the DJ suddenly changes the song – and it’s your song. What song would be playing? Any Panic! At the Disco or Arctic Monkeys song.
18. Pick out either a book you want turned into a film/TV show, or a film/TV show you want turned into a book. Shatter Me (I think this is actually happening) and Reign of Shadows
19. What would your dream library look like? Tall but reachable glossy wooden shelves and multiple reading nooks.
