This month, I read a total of 9 books, which personally I think is super impressive! I got a lot of reading done over winter break and the few snow days that I had.

  • Revenge and the Wild by Michelle Modesto (review)
  • We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson (review)
  • Front Lines (Soldier Girl #1) by Michael Grant (review)
  • Assassin’s Heart by Sarah Ahiers (review to come!)
  • Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman (review to come!)
  • Reign of Shadows (Reign of Shadows #1) by Sophie Jordan (review to come!)
  • The Shadow Queen (Ravenspire #1) by C.J. Redwine (review to come!)
  • Elementals: The Prophecy of Shadows (Elementals #1) by Michelle Madow (review to come!)

I have a lot of reviews coming up in February, courtesy of all these amazing books coming out next month! Stay tuned!

As you may or may not know, Panic! at the Disco came out with a new album this month and I spent a good amount of my bus-riding time listening to this album! And yes, I also jammed out to Britney Spears. No, I’m not embarrassed (THEY WERE GOOD SONGS OKAY).

  • As I mentioned in my December 2015 recap, I participated in my Science Olympiad competition on January 9th! My partner and I received 5th place for Protein Modeling, and I got a medal, which was pretty cool.
  • I finally finished all my midterms! It was probably one of the worst two weeks of this year, but I’m really glad it’s over.
  • I also made a swag binder, courtesy of Aila @ One Way Or An Author! She had this great idea which she posted on Twitter, and I can’t believe how much I love it.

  3. Seems like you’ve had an amazing start to the year! I read THE PROPHECY OF SHADOWS too and I didn’t like it that much, but hopefully you liked it more. I hear incredible things about REVENGE and FRONT LINES. Here’s to an amazing Feb!

  4. I can’t wait to get Truthwitch, it sounds amazing! (Although, imo, isn’t kinda having the ability to shoot fire from your palms and kill people with one shot so much cooler than being able to tell if they’re lying or not. Like BAM PEW PEW) Shoot me a link when you post your review so I can read it!

  7. Look at all these great reads you got to! I’ve been eyeing Revenge and the Wild for a while now, but I’m not sure whether I should wait for the library hold or just go ahead and buy it. The Raven Boys is the best, I hope you enjoy the book and that your February is utterly fantastic!
