What’s New & Things That Have Changed: College, Blogging, etc!

Hi everyone! It’s been a fucking hot minute since I’ve sat down and pulled up WordPress to write a post. I’m sure you’ve noticed. I had a bunch of posts scheduled throughout the months I was at school, but they weren’t enough to keep Arctic Books running, in my opinion. But I’m back now, and I’ll be blogging throughout the summer, and hopefully throughout the fall as well.

So, what’s new?

  • finished my first year at college
  • got a 3.9 as an honors bio major
  • made Dean’s List
  • started undergrad research
  • starting my research internship this summer (yesterday, actually!)

Life is really starting to pass by and it’s freaking me out, but I also just had the best year of my life in college.

I’ll continue to start blogging and reading but they won’t be my top priorities anymore, I think. I’m going to put my education, personal and work lives ahead and put time and energy into reading and blogging when I feel like it.

That may mean fewer posts from me but that doesn’t mean there aren’t going to be any more posts on Arctic Books! I still have my wonderful co-bloggers, Liv and JM, who will continue to put posts out! (Jesse has left co-blogging due to personal reasons, but I appreciate everything he’s done for Arctic Books! ❤ )

So that’s about it! I hope you’ll consider sticking around to see what other content we have to share, and I’ll probably have a giveaway somewhere around the beginning of July for my birthday, so keep your eyes open!

It’s great to be back.

  1. Good luck on your internship! I hope it’s fun. It’s awesome you’re getting started interning really early into college. It’s one thing I majorly regret not doing. And I wouldn’t worry about the blog. It’s totally possible to keep up, even if it’s not your main focus in life anymore. As long as you still love the posts you produce when you are in the mood, I think it’ll be just fine ^_^
