This month, the lovely people of Uppercase worked with Epic Reads at Harper Collins, so the bag was a bit different. It’s adorable, so I’m glad to have had the opportunity to review this box! The book of the month is BY YOUR SIDE by Kasie West! I read an ARC of this book a while ago, and I really enjoyed it; I’m happy to have a pretty hardcover copy in my hands now. It’s also signed, so that’s a plus!

Also in the box contained some peppermint tea, creatively named Pride & Peppermint Tea from NovelTeaTins. I do love peppermint, so I’m excited to try this out. There was also an adorable 221B necklace, famously from Sherlock Holmes. I’m definitely going to wear this!

Finally, there was a super cute Valentine’s Day card from Epic Reads, which says “I’d share my books with you.” I’m definitely going to use that next year ;). The laptop sticker says “I ❤ YA,” which is adorable and very accurate.

Huge thanks to Uppercase for sending me another box for review!

Again, Uppercase did not disappoint! I’m incredibly happy with the contents of this box, and I think I liked this one more than last month’s. Consistent with each Uppercase, there was a handwritten note, which I loved because it makes it a lot more personal; there was also a bookmark with some codes that link to extra features, which I’m super excited about. I really like this reading experience; I don’t remember if I’ve said this already but I suck at buddy reads so it’s nice to have extra features without depending on others to give me a good reading experience!unnamed-6

I also love love love the 221B necklace; it’s probably my favorite piece in this whole box. I love jewelry a lot, so I’m so excited to add this to my collection! The laptop sticker is definitely something I can use in the future; I’m getting a new laptop when I head to college so I’ll have something to add to it!

Overall, I was quite pleased with this month’s Uppercase! I think I like this box so much because there’s pieces that you can actually use, and it’s not something you’ll just end up tossing in the corner; they’re cute and useful pieces! I’m really glad to see that Uppercase is partnering with publishers; it adds a nice suspenseful touch as to what book it’s going to be and what else they’re going to add in the box. The only thing I wish there was more of is bookish swag; I love bookmarks and bookplates and little bookish shenanigans that relate to the book of the month, so I would love to see that in the future. I’m excited for next month’s Uppercase (but a little sad that my review period will be over) and I can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Thank you to Uppercase for providing me with this box in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for this review.

  1. I have never heard of this box, but so far it’s my favorite subscription service I’ve heard of! I love the idea of exclusive content. Particularly with author interviews and the like. That’s my favorite part of books. The stuff is cool too, but I like exploring the book and author more. Lovely unboxing!
