Interview with Brooke @BrookeEvans2001 | #WTTN16

welcome to the neighborhood

Hi everyone! Today, we’re here with another new-ish book blogger! If you don’t know, WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD is a feature on my blog in which I introduce new bloggers through interviews and guest posts as well as a few giveaways! You can find more information here.

Today, we’re here with Brooke from The Cozy Little Book Nook! Let’s start with the interview!

Introduce yourself! Where are you from? How long have you been blogging?

Hey everyone, I’m Brooke from The Cozy Little Book Nook and I’m from the great state of Texas! I’ve been blogging for about 8 months now.

What made you want to start book blogging in the first place?

I loved reading about people’s opinions on different books and how friendly the book community was so I knew that I wanted to share my opinions as well.

Do you have any bloggers that you look up to? If so, who?

Oh my god, literally all of them. Every single blog out there is so good, in their own ways. I don’t think that I will ever get bored of the variety that is out there.

What goals do you have for your blog and/or yourself?

For my blog, I just hope to continue expanding out, gaining more followers, producing more content that is top quality. I’m also planning on starting another planner blog soon as well so keep an eye out for that if you’re interested.

What sorts of posts do you currently incorporate in your blog? What kinds of posts do you want to see more throughout the whole book community?

Currently, I have reviews, Top Ten Tuesday posts, Classic Fridays posts (if you don’t know what that is, go check it out here: Classic Fridays), blog tours, as well as discussion and life updates. I’m always open for new things so if you have any suggestions, let me know!

What has been your experience with ARCs (advance reading copies)?

I’ve been getting ARCs since maybe a couple months into blogging, but mostly from NetGalley. I’ve gotten just a few physical copies so I’m definitely not as well known as some of the other blogs out there. But it is really fun getting to read books before they come out. I make sure to always post a review for the book, whether it’s before or after the publication date since someone took the time out of their day to grant me access to the books.

What are your favorite books? What books do you recommend for everyone?

My favorite type of books are YA Contemporary Romance books because they almost always end with a happy ending, and they give me some hope that I can find a guy that’s as good as some of the guys in books (a far-fetched dream, I know). I actually don’t recommend YA Contemporary for everyone since obviously, different people have different tastes.

What advice do you have for new book bloggers?

My advice for new book bloggers is to trust your guts, and don’t be afraid to do what you think is right (within reason of course). Also, network, network, network. I cannot stress that enough. Everyone in the blogging community is so friendly and are happy to welcome you into the community.

Brooke is a 15 year old girl from Texas. She’s been reading since she could remember and loves sharing a good book with people which is one of the main reasons she created this blog. Other than reviewing books, she like to post random things (or maybe not so random) discussion posts under the ‘BLOG’ tab. She hopes you all will give feedback. She love making new friends and talking to people so don’t feel shy to chat! You can also find her on various social media platforms (Facebook, twitter, google plus, and Goodreads). Go over to these sites and find Brooke on them 🙂

  1. What I like is that I really enjoyed it and kept reading. Most of the time I get bored reading questions and interviews. But I think it’s really a great thing to get to know other book bloggers. And the questions were not boring at all. And I felt like ” Oh, I like this girl and I’ll go to check her blog now “.
