Stranger Things Book Tag!

created by- arunning-commentary.blogspot.com-1.png

I recently started watching an original Netflix series called STRANGER THINGS and it’s amazing! I’m going to be doing a series review sooooon so keep your eye out for that ;), but I wanted to do this tag first!

Huge thanks to Nisha @ A Running Commentary for creating this tag and tagging me! Let’s get started!

the vanishing of will byers

[the first book in a series that left you intrigued and slightly confused]

I recently read THE BONE SEASON, and it was really intriguing and lovely. It was a great debut and I can’t wait to see more of Samantha Shannon’s work. However, I will admit that I was thrown into a world that had me slightly confused. I’m definitely looking forward to reading the sequel, THE MIME ORDER soon!

the upside down

[a book with a setting you would never want to live in]

I would hate to live in the world of STALKING JACK THE RIPPER. I totally love the imagining of it, but since there were many murders and deaths in that book, I don’t know if I would be a huge fan of living in that setting.

eleven

[a book you own that is somewhat damaged, but loved to pieces]71GXQFa+RRL

My copy of SHATTER ME is my favorite ever! I don’t have a picture of it because I lent it to a friend (I need it back ASAP!), and it’s not in the best quality (a few ripped corners), but I love it very, very much. My copies of UNITE ME, UNRAVEL ME, and IGNITE ME are in pretty good shape though, so I’m relatively proud of that, considering how many times I’ve read this series.

mike, lucas, and dustin

[a trilogy you always go to whenever you need a pick-me-up]

I adore the TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE trilogy! Granted, the third book, ALWAYS AND FOREVER, LARA JEAN, hasn’t come out yet, but I adore these books! They’re so sweet and adorable, and always pick me up!

the demogorgon

[a book with a terrifying beast you wouldn’t want to face in a dark alley]

This series is super underrated, but I’m going to have to say the RAZORLAND series by Ann Aguirre. In these books, there are a bunch of zombie-like creatures that eat and kill humans. I have to say, I’m not a fan of these beasts—but I am a fan of this series!

dr. brenner

[a book with a villain who is both manipulative and dedicated]

I’m going to have to say the Commandant from the AN EMBER IN THE ASHES SERIES. She is seriously the worst person ever; she’s manipulative and pure evil. I haven’t read A TORCH AGAINST THE NIGHT yet, but I’m really excited to soon!

[a book with a setting that’s just a little bit strange]

I only recently read RED QUEEN by Victoria Aveyard, and I find that this setting is a bit strange. I find many dystopians to have weird settings, but I tend to enjoy them anyway!

I tag:

Have you seen STRANGER THINGS yet? Are you planning to? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I totally agree about the Bone Season dropping you into a world and you are a little confused for a bit. That’s partly what I loved about it, but I can see other people not liking that so much. I haven’t read ANY of the other books you mentioned, lol. How sad for me! 😦

  2. I haven’t hear dof Starnger Things before this. I’ll have to watch for your review–my husband might have heard of it–he’s a netflix junkie.

  3. I haven’t read all of these books, and I haven’t watched the show yet, but I really need to. I am hearing so much about it, from people EVERYWHERE, not just the interwebs. So, I need to watch that show fast, and then read some of these books that haven’t made it my shelves yet. (Except To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before… it is one of my favorites!)

  4. I have heard such great things about this new show so it’s definitely on my to-watch list and I’m really digging this tag! Great lot if books chosen and each feature has got me more intrigued to watch the show so I know what in the world you are talking about lol!
