As 2015 comes to a close, I can’t help but to think that hopefully, I’ll be able to complete many of my goals in 2016. Let’s get started!
Reading Goals
Oh, man. There are so many books I want to read in 2016! In the coming year, I’m going to be doing my Goodreads challenge (I challenged myself to read 50 books) and a Popsugar challenge. You can read more here. This is my first time ever doing a book challenge since this is going to be my first book blog new year!
In terms of books I want to read, since joining the book blogging community, I’ve realized that there are SO many books that I need to read. Therefore, I definitely want to get to the following, very popular, very hyped-up books:
- Throne of Glass / Crown of Midnight / Heir of Fire / Queen of Shadows
- A Court of Thorns and Roses
- Shadow and Bone / Siege and Storm / Ruin and Rising
- Illuminae
- Air Awakens / Fire Falling / Earth’s End
- The Raven Boys / Dream Thieves / Blue Lily, Lily Blue
- Never, Never (Brianna Shrum)
- Wolf by Wolf
- Cinder / Scarlet / Cress / Winter
Of course, this is just the beginning, but these are my NEED TO READ books. Hopefully I can make this happen in 2016!
Blogging Goals
For 2016, I’d like to:
- reach 250 WordPress / email followers
- reach 500 Instagram followers
- reach 150 Twitter followers
- socialize more on Twitter / blogging (such as commenting on other people’s blogs, enforcing my presence in book blogging, etc.)
Personal / School Goals
- Get my driver’s license. I currently have booked my driver’s test on May 19th, and I’m quite nervous!
- Get 50 hours in volunteering. Currently, I work at my local hospital and local museum every weekend, so hopefully by the end of the year, I’ll have enough hours to meet the graduation requirement as well.
But wait! There’s more!
To celebrate the new year, I’m hosting a giveaway for a book of choice from The Book Depository under $20, including pre-orders! This giveaway is international if TBD ships to your location — you can check here.
My giveaway policy applies in this giveaway — please read the rules here. This giveaway will end a month from today, January 26. Good luck!
Have a happy New year! seems like you’ll have a lot of challenges that you’ve to do for over a year and I hope you’ll do it all!😀 I might have a goodreads challenge too haha

I’ve met my 2015 GR reading goal this year, so I’m spending some time with a bigger book (Way of Kings) before 2016! I also really want to read the Raven Boys series and Illuminae in 2016 and maybe finish the Throne of Glass and Lunar Chronicles series!
I actually have a 2016 reading challenges and a 2016 must read books posts on my blog 😀
I hope you enjoy the Grisha trilogy; I adored it, but Six of Crows is EVEN better!

Well my GoodReads goal this year was 100 and I passed that up a few months ago so I guess I’d like to finish more books next year than I did this one. I’d like to start and finish Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. I’ve had that on my TBR list for years and still never read it. Thank you for the lovely giveaway. Happy New Year!

Ah, I hope you love the Throne of Glass series, The Lunar Chronicles, and Never Never! They’re all pretty cool. I haven’t read Winter yet but I will be pretty soon I hope. I need to get to Shadow and Bone this year. I’ve had it for the past two years I believe and just haven’t read it yet.
Good luck with your blogging and and personal goals!

I’ll be doing the Popsugar challenge in 2016, too! I’m hoping to get at least half of the challenges done. You and I have a lot of the same books to read! I’m currently on Heir of Fire and I just got ACOTAR for Christmas. I need to read Fire Falling as well. I hope you like the Lunar Chronicles!

I love the Throne of Glass series as well as ACOTAR, Cinder and The Raven Boys. Some of my goals are to finish/get caught up with a lot of series (like Cinder, TRB, Shadow and Bone, ToG, Clockwork Angel), read 75 books in 2016 – of that, 50% of the books read I want to be owned books. I buy so manner books and never end up reading them!
I also want to read all the Sherrilyn Kenyon books, she’s one of my favourite authors!
Personal goals: go to the gym more, write at least a page a day, start a novel (writing).
I love that you want to volunteer more!

Ooh. You volunteer? Cool! I used to, but I moved, and I haven’t found a new place yet. Been too busy with settling in and all, you know?
Good luck with your goals! You can do it!

I need to start on hyped books as well haha. I’m almost caught up on the Throne of Glass series and I still need to get Winter, but there are so many other hyped books that I can’t even handle all of them! I would love volunteering at a museum and stuff, but unfortunately they’re volunteer and I need that minimum wage haha.
Good luck on your 2016 endeavors!

My goal is to DNF the books I just don’t enjoy. I always end up reading the entire book even if I’m just not enjoying it when I could be spending that time reading something I might love.

Well my Goodreads goal is to read 150 books but I’m kinda failing at updating the challenge board. The rest of my goals are more business/blog orientated. I actually wrote a post on em here: https://avdreader.wordpress.com/2016/01/06/my-top-ten-2016-resolutionsgoals/ Thanks for the giveaway!!!
